Kariya High School kindly put on a welcome reception in the banqueting room of a local hotel. After a number of speeches and presentations between the two well acquainted schools a buffet and entertainments followed. Not knowing all of the words of the Eton Boating Song the boys opted instead to sing Jerusalem. I am glad to report they were all in hearty voice! Highlights from the Japanese side include an elderly gentleman who could play 3 harmonicas at once!
